ajiit’s life-story
an inspiring tale of self-discovery
The spiritual journey of one individual resembles that of any of us. The details might change, but the steps and destination are the same.

guiding seekers
Ajiit, a renowned spiritual teacher, founder of Mauna House and JIAIDO Movement Meditation, has dedicated this life to the pursuit of self-realization and guiding others on the path to spiritual liberation. His teachings offer profound insights and practical wisdom that can transform one’s understanding of the self and the world.
At the core of Ajiit’s teachings is the concept of self-discovery, which means the recognition of one’s true nature beyond the limitations of the ego. Behind the mask of personal identity lies a boundless and eternal essence, often referred to as the higher self or the divine.
Through his different methods and teachings Ajiit guides seekers towards a direct experience of this inner essence. He offers practical techniques and insights to help individuals transcend the illusions of the mind, release attachments, and awaken to the inherent peace, love, and wisdom that resides within.
early years
Martial arts and zen
Ajiit was born in Iran in 1966. As a young boy, he became fascinated with martial arts and began practicing karate intensively, continuing for 28 years. He opened his first dojo at the age of 18. After mastering the physical aspects of karate, his interest shifted to the spiritual foundations of martial arts. He began studying Zen teachings and principles, which helped him develop a mature, focused mind oriented toward self-investigation. He frequently meditated and practiced zazen, the art of silent sitting.
Significant changes marked his social life and circumstances. At 23, he moved from Iran to Denmark, where he continued teaching karate for several years. Despite adapting to a new culture and lifestyle, he remained focused on his spiritual journey. In fact, living far from his homeland intensified his passion for discovering his true nature.
the teachings
The Influence of Sufi Masters and Osho’s Teachings
Ajiit’s cultural background has always fueled his deep interest in Sufi mysticism, a spiritual journey rooted in love and the quest for the Self. As a young adult, he delved into the works of Sufi masters like Rumi, Omar Khayyam, and Hafez. Their writings planted a seed of longing for unity and divine love in his heart, making him yearn for something beyond the physical world—the eternal, divine part of himself.
In 1991, a friend introduced Ajiit to the teachings of the great master Osho. Reading Osho’s books and visiting his ashram in India, Ajiit found that Osho’s teachings resonated with his understanding of Sufism and Zen, free from any religious doctrines or concepts.
Exploring the human psyche
During this period, Ajiit developed a deep interest in the human psyche, seeking to understand the motivations and relationships that shape personality and cause mental and emotional difficulties. This led him to pursue two years of education in psychotherapy and three years in acupuncture. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a psychiatric nurse assistant in Danish hospitals, gaining essential skills in dealing with various mental disorders and psychological problems. This experience has given him extensive knowledge of the human mind, allowing him to deepen his own self-investigation.
the shift
experience of the self at a satsang with john david
In 2007, a chance meeting with John David changed Ajiit’s life forever. Invited by a friend to a satsang in Copenhagen with the spiritaul teacher, John David, Ajiit had a brief but profound dialogue with him.
“The conversation was brief but powerful. My friend had mentioned that John David lost his luggage during his flight. When I spoke to him, I wanted to connect and show sympathy, so I asked, ‘By the way, have you found your luggage?’ He replied, ‘Yes, thank you, I found my luggage, but let me ask you something too. Are you ready to lose your luggage?’ I immediately understood his deeper meaning and responded passionately, ‘Yes, I am ready to lose it, that’s why I am here!’
This short exchange was enough to trigger a life-changing experience, waking me up and guiding me to a new state.”
the effect
Ramana Maharshi
Following this meeting, Ajiit experienced a strong energetic phenomenon throughout his body. That night, he also had a vivid vision of the Indian sage, Ramana Maharshi, whom he had never seen or heard of before.
“It is hard to describe this experience, which seemed like chronosthesia. Until that night, it was impossible for me to associate myself with such phenomena. I couldn’t sleep and spent most of the night sitting quietly, fully aware.
I found myself in a state of samadhi, losing any sense of space. Suddenly, I was in a very old room with a bamboo roof and a simple lamp, among many Indian people. They brought in a big chair that looked almost like a bed, with an old man sitting on it, weak and unable to walk. He looked at the people lovingly, with a strong wave of silence in the room.
This experience deeply affected me, and I pondered it often. It wasn’t until later, when I saw photos of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi, that I understood. Visiting his ashram in India, I immediately recognized the place from my vision.”
This deep connection made Ajiit a devotee of Ramana. Since then, he visits the sage’s ashram annually.
aftermath
a new relation with life
The energetic explosion—what Ajiit later called the “Big Bang”—continued for weeks after the meeting, causing dramatic and irreversible changes in his mind and personality. Realizing he was no longer the same, he withdrew from all activities for almost three years, spending his time alone, observing the transformation of his body and mind.
After a few years, Ajiit reintegrated into society in a new way, traveling regularly to Ramana Maharshi’s ashram in Tiruvannamalai. In 2011, he met a Hungarian friend there who invited him to Budapest. This led to regular satsang meetings and retreats. In 2012, with the support of friends, Ajiit established the Mauna House community in Hungary, where all his activities now take place.
as a teacher
Spiritual work
In his guidance, Ajiit draws on his extensive knowledge and experience to make his teachings simple, practical, and easy for everyone to understand. His work operates on two levels: personal development and Self-development.
As he began meeting with individuals seeking the Truth, Ajiit realized that most people struggle to directly grasp the concept of the divine nature of humans. He understood that seekers’ minds must first be mature and prepared for self-inquiry; otherwise, they remain too engaged in personal stories and dramas to perceive the Truth. He also recognized the necessity of resolving and transforming personal issues to live a balanced and healthy life, which serves as the foundation for Self-development and spiritual growth. Therefore, Ajiit created different methods to help seekers better understand themselves and overcome physical, mental, and emotional difficulties that hinder their journey toward the Self.
